Maltassist is
pleased to offer various types of diving courses through DIVE
SYSTEMS.
Dive Systems was established in Malta in 1978 and boasts of
excellent safety and friendly service records. A team of dedicated,
experienced and friendly instructors and assistants ensures maximum
satisfaction and safe diving.
Dive Systems, one of the first
dive centres in Malta, is run by Louis and Paul Sciberras who have
30 years experience in the diving industry. In 2004 Dive Systems
relocated to a purpose-built diver training facility. The new
premises, just a few minutes walk from the town centre, are
centrally located on the promenade in Sliema which is the leading
holiday resort in Malta.

Opening Times
Dive Systems
operates all the year round from Monday to Saturday, however opening
hours are fairly flexible and arrangements can be made for Night
dives as well as dives on Sundays and Public Holiday diving.

Location
We are
located at the water’s edge on the promenade in the centre of
Sliema, a prime tourist centre with about 20,000 residents. It is a
modern town with many hotels, cafes restaurants and a good shopping
centre. It is also very close to the capital city Valletta (approx.
1 KM) and St. Julians, Paceville known for its cinemas, Casino,
amusement halls discotheques and bars and restaurants( approx. 2 KM)
Non
diving family or friends
These can
relax on the beach area from which they can watch the day's
activities. There is also a children’s playground and a public
garden within a radius of 200 metres. Various restaurants and snack
bars are within easy reach.

Introductory Diving Courses
Get
a taste of the Underwater world safely with DIVE SYSTEMS,
by taking one of the following introductory courses. If you decide
to follow a certification course any payment made and sessions
covered will be deducted from the relative course.

certification are recognized throughout the world. They enable you

alongside the instructors whilst training student divers in both
theory and practice, assisting in open water dives and
coursework activities.

Prior to certification, the candidate will be
assessed in watermanship and rescue skills and will be required
to sit for a theory exam.

Professional membership with P.A.D.I. is extra.

Many worldwide dive centres employ Dive masters
as Dive Guides.
PADI Specialty Courses
Have fun while you widen your under water experience
and diving skills. Available to Open Water Divers except for Night,
Deep and Wreck which can only be taken by Advanced Open Water
Divers. You can save €20 on each specialty if you combine it with
the AOWD course.

CMAS Qualification
Courses
The CMAS is the
world federation of underwater Activities. It includes National
Federation Diving Centres and Clubs in more than 75 countries.
- C.M.A.S.
1 Star (Min. 4 days)
- This
certification is awarded to Divers who are competent in the safe
and correct use of all appropriate open water SCUBA diving
equipment.
- The
course consists of 8 water sessions and 7 classroom lectures.
- C.M.A.S.
2 Star (Min. 6 days)
- The 2
star Diver is a diver with open water diving experience and is
considered capable of taking part in dives partnered by a diver
of at least the same or higher grade.
- The
course consists of 10 training and dive sessions and 7 lectures
covering navigation, night diving, deep diving and rescue.
BSAC Qualification
Courses
BSAC
stands for British Sub Aqua Club, the world's biggest diving club.
It is one of the most respected diving organizations in the world
with a reputation for the excellence of its diver training program.

This is
the BSAC entry level course. At this level no club membership is
required.
The BSAC
Ocean Diver Pack is required. This includes a student video, study
book, divers logbook, qualification record book, decompression
tables and the BSAC Sports Diving manual.
